Job summary

NSW Ambulance is seeking a Recovery Partner, Tail Claims, to guide workplace rehabilitation and injury management programs across NSW. You will support injured workers, managers and stakeholders through all stages of recovery, aiming for sustainable return-to-work outcomes and shorter claim durations.

This is a permanent full-time role based at the NSW Ambulance State Operations Centre in Sydney Olympic Park with a flexible workplace arrangement.

Qualifications

• Partner with injured workers to develop, monitor and review tailored Recovery at Work plans, supporting return to pre-injury roles where appropriate.
• Collaborate with nominated treating doctors, rehabilitation providers, union representatives and the icare scheme agent to proactively manage Workers’ Compensation claims.
• Provide expert advice to managers and employees on injury management, return to work obligations and legislative requirements.
• Ensure compliance with organisational policies, public sector requirements and relevant Workers Compensation and WHS legislation.
• Deliver education and guidance to managers to strengthen proactive rehabilitation practices.
• Support the management of non-work-related injuries and illnesses through agreed return to work plans.
• Maintain strong, cooperative relationships with workers, medical professionals and industrial associations
