Job summary

Anglicare NT is seeking a friendly receptionist/administrative assistant to be the first point of contact, delivering welcoming service and clerical support across intake, bookings, and office coordination.

You will provide high-quality customer service, support intake processes, manage bookings and facilities, and assist with financial administration, supporting program staff and management.

Qualifications

  • Certificate IV in Business Administration or equivalent is required.
  • Experience in reception, administration or customer service roles.
  • Knowledge of the housing and homelessness sector is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Commitment to confidentiality and professional conduct.
  • Commitment to culturally safe and inclusive practice, particularly with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Responsibilities

About the Opportunity

As the first point of contact for clients, visitors, staff and community members, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming and culturally safe environment. This diverse role combines reception, administration, intake support and office coordination responsibilities to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of our office.

You will provide high-quality customer service, support intake processes, coordinate bookings and facilities, assist with financial administration, and provide valuable support to program staff and management.

To be successful in this role, you will bring:
  • Certificate IV in Business Administration or equivalent experience
  • Experience in a reception, administration or customer service role
  • Knowledge of the housing and homelessness sector
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
  • A commitment to confidentiality and professional conduct
