Job summary

Smart Energy is seeking a Credit & Accounts Receivable Officer to own rebate recovery, analyse data and strengthen processes for our home electrification business.

Reporting to the Collections Manager, you’ll work with installers and internal teams to resolve claims, maintain audit-ready records, and drive faster, more accurate recoveries.

The role combines hands-on collections with data analysis across Xero, Airtable and Formbay, with opportunities to improve workflows and reporting.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years’ experience in accounts receivable, credit control, collections, rebate recovery or financial operations.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret ageing reports, identify trends and investigate discrepancies.
• Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills, including experience building reports, analysing datasets and presenting useful insights.
• Excellent attention to detail across reconciliations, claims, adjustments and ledger movements.
• Clear, confident communication skills and the ability to have productive conversations about outstanding balances.
• A practical approach to improving processes, solving problems and following issues through to completion.
• The ability to manage competing priorities and maintain accurate work in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with Xero, Salesforce, Airtable, Formbay or similar platforms is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of rebate recovery and manage outstanding rebate receivables with prioritised follow-up.
• Consolidate and reconcile information from multiple platforms to maintain a reliable rebate ledger.
• Analyse ageing, recovery timelines and dispute trends to identify risks and opportunities.
• Produce clear reports and dashboards to help management understand performance and take action.
