Job summary

ScaleUp in Sydney seeks a Market Operations Associate to monitor and support a fast-paced prediction market platform, ensuring fair and stable markets for institutional clients. You will work closely with engineering, product, and leadership teams to resolve issues and improve the trading environment.

The role requires strong judgment under pressure, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience.
• Experience in trading operations, markets or financial tech preferred.
• Ability to operate in real-time, high-visibility environments.
• Excellent communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Willingness for event-driven on-call work schedule.

Responsibilities

• Develop deep expertise in the company’s trading systems and interfaces.
• Provide timely technical and non-technical support to market participants.
• Monitor system integrity and the trading environment in real time.
• Maintain and update listed event contracts with accurate specs.
• Execute, document, and refine operational procedures and controls.
• Gather user feedback and escalate critical issues to engineering.
• Design and maintain simple automation scripts to reduce risk.
• Collaborate with Technology Operations and other teams to support initiatives.
• Participate in on-call rotation and event-driven schedules.
