Job summary

Willing Care Recruitment Limited is seeking a Deputy Nurse Manager to lead clinically in a supernumerary capacity, partnering with the Home Manager to uphold high standards of dementia and nursing care.

You will provide visible clinical leadership, ensure safe and personalised care, and support team development while building strong relationships with residents and families within a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Registered nurse with active NMC registration.
• Proven experience as Deputy Nurse Manager or similar senior nursing role.
• Strong clinical knowledge and dementia care experience.
• Good understanding of CQC requirements and regulatory standards.
• Experience developing nursing and care teams.
• Compassionate, resident-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Lead clinical team in a supernumerary capacity.
• Provide visible clinical leadership to nursing and care colleagues.
• Ensure residents receive safe, compassionate and individualized nursing care.
• Spend time with residents to understand their needs and preferences.
• Oversee and contribute to personalised care planning and regular reviews.

£50,000 per year | Nursing & Dementia Care

This nursing home provides specialist nursing and dementia care within a warm and welcoming environment, with a strong emphasis on individualised support, dignity and meaningful relationships with residents and their families.

As Deputy Nurse Manager, you’ll work in a supernumerary capacity, giving you dedicated time to focus on clinical leadership, quality and team development. You’ll work closely with the Home Manager to support the overall running of the service while remaining a visible and approachable presence for residents, relatives and colleagues.

The Clinical Leadership We’re Looking For

• Registered
• RGN or RMN with an active NMC registration.
• Proven experience as a Deputy Nurse Manager or in a similar senior nursing position within a nursing home or comparable care environment.
• Strong clinical knowledge and confidence supporting residents with nursing and dementia care needs.
• Good understanding of CQC requirements and regulatory standards within nursing homes.
• Strong safeguarding knowledge, including confidence identifying concerns and following appropriate referral pathways.
• Experience supporting and developing nursing and care teams.
• A compassionate, resident-focused approach with a commitment to personalised care.
