Job summary

PepsiCo Australia & New Zealand is seeking a Raw Materials Operator for the Smith’s Snackfood Company in Regency Park. The role focuses on forklift-based material handling, inventory control with SAP, and collaboration with production teams on afternoon shifts. Full-time, permanent position with comprehensive benefits.

Requirements include forklift licence with hands-on experience, SAP familiarity, and strong safety, reading, and numeracy skills. Training begins on day shift for initial period.

Qualifications

• Forklift licence with real-world work experience operating forklifts.
• Knowledge of safety standards and procedures in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong reading and numerical comprehension with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift for material handling including order picking, wrapping, palletising and loading/unloading to production lines.
• Manage inventory using SAP and complete basic documentation for goods received.
• Coordinate with production and logistics to ensure timely material delivery and accuracy.
• Support equipment cleaning and sanitation and participate in basic oil tank farm operations.

Overview

• Location: Regency Park
• Shift: Afternoon Shift (Monday-Thursday 2:20pm to 10:20pm, Friday 12noon to 6:00pm)
• Training will be on Day Shift for first 2 months
• Full Time Permanent
• Selection Process: Phone Conversation - Interview - Online Testing - Background and Pre Employment Medical Checks - Decision

Responsibilities

• 2+ years experience on Forklift operation (high reach and counterbalance)
• Order picking and wrapping, palletising, materials receivable/dispatch, truck unload and delivery to production lines
• Manage inventory using SAP
• Review data collection and complete basic documentation for goods received in
• Basic Oil Tank Farm operations - unloading liquid and grain bulk carriers and waste management
• Cleaning and sanitation of equipment and work areas

Qualifications

• Forklift licence with real-world work experience operating forklifts
• Computer literate (experience with SAP preferred)
• Ability to prioritise and organise multiple work tasks in a safe and professional manner
• Strong communication skills with reading and numerical comprehension skills
• Knowledge of food safety principles and practices (preferred but no essential)
