Job summary

UGL Transport seeks an experienced Operations Manager to lead the Rail & Technology Systems (RTS) operations across Australia. You will grow core capabilities, manage a high‑performing national team and ensure safe, efficient delivery of projects in a contracting environment.

You will develop growth strategies, strengthen client relationships and oversee resource planning to maximise utilisation and recurring revenue streams across RTS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (Mandatory).
• Experience as Operations Manager or Senior Project Manager in contracting.
• Rail and signalling/TCS experience preferred.
• Strong drive to grow the business.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the safe, efficient and profitable delivery of all core capability operations for the RTS business unit.
• Ensure the safe execution of works to deliver on RTS project obligations.
• Develop and execute operational growth strategies that expand RTS's national footprint and create revenue streams.
• Build and manage customer and external stakeholder relationships, and act as the primary operational interface for key customers.
• Oversee resource planning and workforce allocation to optimise utilisation across projects and maintenance contracts.
• Identify, assess and pursue new business opportunities within existing and emerging markets, working with commercial teams.
