Job summary

Pacific National's QLD Coal team in Sarina is seeking an experienced Supervisor to lead frontline train crews and support operational activities across Sarina and the Coal North region, ensuring safe, reliable service delivery and building a high-performance team culture.

You will prioritise safety, drive safety initiatives, manage rostering and day-to-day operations, coach staff, onboard new drivers, handle workplace issues and collaborate with planning to optimise outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience leading frontline rail operations or similar heavy industry teams.
• Strong safety mindset and track record of safety initiatives.
• Proven ability to coach and develop staff and manage rostering.

Responsibilities

• Prioritise safety in every moment, safely every day.
• Lead and promote safety, compliance and HSE initiatives across operations.
• Manage train crew performance, rostering and day-to-day operational requirements.
• Coach, mentor and develop team members to build capability and engagement.
• Support onboarding and training of new drivers and operational employees.
• Manage workplace issues, investigations and incident response activities.
• Collaborate with planning and service delivery teams to optimise operational outcomes.
• Drive continuous improvement and positive cultural change within the workforce.
