Job summary

ACCIONA is delivering Stage 1 of The Wave: 19 kilometres of dual‑track passenger rail on the Sunshine Coast. As Site Engineer, you will report to the Project Engineer & Senior Project Engineer, plan short‑term programs, track costs, and ensure quality and safety on site while working with subcontractors, the client and authorities.

You will negotiate subcontracts, support supply agreements, and build lasting relationships.

Qualifications

Engineering degree, diploma or equivalent qualification.
Valid C class driver licence.
Valid Construction Safety Awareness Card.
Desirable: experience in a construction or engineering setting.
Desirable: Certificate IV in Project Management or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver short-term programs and resources for a defined area of the works.
Monitor costs and productivity to protect margins and meet reporting deadlines.
Support contract delivery and help negotiate subcontract and supply agreements.
Lead by example on safety and help prepare Safe Work Method Statements.
Prepare inspection test reports and close out non-conformances and defects.
Build strong relationships with the client, subcontractors and local authorities.
