Job summary

ACCIONA is delivering the greenfield Stage 1 rail works on the Sunshine Coast, Australia. As Site Engineer, you will report to the Project Engineer and Senior Project Engineer, plan short-term programs, track costs, and ensure safety and quality on site.

You will work with subcontractors, the client, and authorities to negotiate agreements and resolve issues. This hands-on role develops technical and commercial skills, building rail project knowledge from the ground up while supporting Safe Work

Qualifications

• Engineering degree, diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Valid Construction Safety Awareness Card.
• Desirable: experience in a construction or engineering setting.
• Desirable: Certificate IV in Project Management or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Plan short-term programs and resources for an assigned area of the works.
• Monitor project costs and productivity to protect margins and meet reporting deadlines.
• Support contract delivery and help negotiate subcontract and supply agreements.
• Lead by example on safety and help prepare Safe Work Method Statements.
• Prepare inspection test reports and close out non-conformances and defects.
• Build strong relationships with the client, subcontractors and local government authorities.
