Job summary
UGL is delivering major rail infrastructure across Queensland and seeks a Completions Engineer for the Logan Gold Coast Faster Rail project. You will report to the Quality & Completions Manager and assist in implementing completions and handover processes for statutory and contractual compliance.
You will monitor the CMS data and documents, configure Hexagon Smart Completions, support site personnel, review subcontractors' deliverables and drive continuous improvement of completion processes on
Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering or Science or a related trade qualification.
- Minimum 5 years of construction experience including quality management.
- Detailed understanding of relevant Australian standards and management systems.
- Experience with Queensland Rail Safety Management System handback.
- Experience configuring and administering Completion Management Systems (ideally Hexagon Smart Completions).
Responsibilities
- Assist in monitoring and maintaining the Project Completion Management System and data/document control.
- Configure and administer the Completion Management System; Hexagon Smart Completions or similar.
- Support project personnel in implementing CMS and developing work process documentation.
- Provide guidance and mentoring on completion matters to site and project engineers.
- Attend site regularly with engineers to view works, observe testing and verify site requirements.
- Monitor subcontractors' completion deliverables and ensure compliance with obligations.
- Track defect inspections and closure to meet project requirements.
- Coordinate closure of project delivery records to client requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve CMS processes and implement improvements.
- Participate in regular Alliance meetings to discuss completions performance.
