Job summary

UGL is delivering major rail infrastructure across Queensland. We are seeking a Completions Engineer for the Logan Gold Coast Faster Rail project to support completion management and handover processes, ensuring statutory and contractual compliance.

You will engage with site teams and manage data, documents, and records to keep the project on track. With a background in engineering or science, you will coordinate completion activities, mentor engineers, and work closely with subcontractors to

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of construction experience including relevant construction quality management experience.
• Detailed understanding of relevant Australian and International standards (technical and management systems).
• Experience with Queensland Rail Safety Management System handback.
• Experience configuring and administering completion management systems (ideally Hexagon Smart Completions).
• High level communication, consultation, negotiation and influencing skills.
• Solid relationship building skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in monitoring and maintaining the Completion Management System and data/document/records management.
• Assist in configuring and administering the Completion Management System (Hexagon Smart Completions or similar).
• Provide support to project personnel in implementation of completion management, and in developing work process documentation.
• Provide guidance and mentoring on completion matters to Site and Project engineers and the wider team.
• Attend site frequently with engineers to observe works, test, and verify site requirements.
• Monitor subcontractors' completions deliverables and ensure compliance with obligations.
• Monitor defect inspections and closure to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Coordinate closure of project delivery records per Client requirements.
