Job summary

Pacific National in Australia’s rail freight network is seeking an Operations Supervisor to lead a safety-focused frontline team in Clyde. This permanent role focuses on coaching crew, coordinating day-to-day operations, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

You’ll work 12-hour rotating shifts, including weekends and nights, building a culture of safety, efficiency and strong customer service while collaborating with planning, control, and drivers.

Qualifications

• Experience leading, coaching and motivating teams in busy operational environments.
• Strong safety culture background with track record of improving safety.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills across all levels.
• Flexibility to work 12-hour rotating shifts, including weekends and nights.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train crew while coordinating safe, efficient daily operations.
• Inspire, coach and develop a safety-focused team.
• Ensure compliance with network access requirements, policies and standards.
• Coordinate resources to support reliable operations and customer outcomes.
• Collaborate with Planning Services and Network Control to run trains safely.
