Pacific National in Clyde, Sydney, seeks an Operations Supervisor to lead a safety-focused team and oversee day-to-day rail operations. You will train crew, coordinate resources and ensure compliance with safety standards.

You will drive safety culture, mentor staff, collaborate with Planning Services and Network Control, and build strong customer relationships to improve operational outcomes. 12-hour rotating shifts, including weekends and nights, are required.

Qualifications

• Experience leading, coaching and motivating teams in a busy operational environment.
• Strong safety background with demonstrated ability to build and maintain a positive safety culture.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills at all levels.
• Experience building and developing multi-faceted teams.
• Collaborative leadership style with ability to support teams through change and continuous improvement.
• Rail, transport or logistics experience advantageous.
• Qualifications in Transport, Logistics or Business Management advantageous.

Responsabilités

• Provide frontline leadership and guidance to train crew while coordinating the safe and efficient day-to-day operation.
• Inspire, lead and support a team of safety-focused operational employees.
• Coordinate and manage operational resources to support safe, efficient and reliable operations.
• Ensure compliance with relevant network access requirements, policies and operational standards.
• Coach and mentor team members to build capability, performance and a strong safety culture.
• Coordinate the implementation and communication of organisational, divisional and local safety requirements.
• Undertake driver performance and safety observations.
• Work closely with Integrated Planning Services and Network Control to support the safe and efficient running of trains.
• Build strong relationships with internal and external customers and identify opportunities to improve operational and customer outcomes.
