Job summary

Linfox is seeking an experienced Rail Manager for Sydney to lead the city’s rail operation, delivering safe, reliable freight solutions and strong customer service. You will oversee end-to-end operations, budget ownership and weekly P&L performance, with a focus on growth and operational excellence.

You will manage a high-performing team, drive risk management and continuous improvement, and partner with customers and regulators to optimise service delivery and profitability.

Qualifications

• Strong stakeholder management across customers, regulators and contractors.
• Experience leading high-performing operational teams with accountability.
• Commercial and financial management including budgeting and P&L responsibility.
• Proactive, analytical, solutions-focused approach with a track record of improvement.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end accountability for the Sydney rail operation.
• Safety, operational performance, financial outcomes and customer relationships.
• Own the site's weekly P&L, operational strategy and service delivery.
• Drive sustainable growth and operational excellence across the network.
• Lead, coach and develop leaders and teams to drive accountability and engagement.
• Drive continuous improvement across safety, performance, environment and customer service.
