Job summary

Boral is seeking a Rail Operations Manager to lead rail operations across Sydney and the Southern Highlands. You will ensure efficient transport of quarry products and oversee the rail terminal network to meet internal and external customer needs.

You will manage safety compliance, schedule optimisation, budgeting, and performance reporting, while guiding a team of rail professionals and coordinating with partners to deliver outstanding service.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily rail operations for efficient transport of goods.

• Optimise train scheduling, routing, and loading processes.
• Manage logistics and supply chain to meet delivery requirements.
• Monitor operational performance through KPIs.
• Develop and manage the operational budget with cost controls.
• Lead and mentor rail operations staff, fostering collaboration.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to align objectives.
• Address customer concerns and resolve service-related issues.
• Utilise technology and software for planning and reporting.
• Maintain communication with oversight groups to ensure regulatory compliance.
