Job summary

UGL Transport is seeking a Technical Coordinator to join the Rail Operations Centre at Green Square, NSW. You will act as the critical link between train drivers, Fleet Controllers and maintenance teams, coordinating fault responses and prioritising actions in a 24/7 roster.

Reporting to the Planning & Logistics Manager, you will troubleshoot, interpret drawings and manage stakeholder communications to minimise fleet downtime and keep NSW intercity services moving safely and reliably.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification, technical certification or equivalent engineering qualification.
• Experience in rollingstock maintenance or related transport industries.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics and BOMs.
• Strong troubleshooting across mechanical and electrical systems.
• Experience managing competing priorities with a customer focus.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary contact point for the UGL Help Desk.
• Receive, record and coordinate responses to operational fleet issues.
• Support fault identification and rectification activities.
• Liaise with train crews, Fleet Controllers and maintenance personnel.
• Prioritise maintenance requests and operational activities.
• Monitor fleet performance and support service recovery.
• Maintain records and reporting within operational systems.
• Contribute to planning activities that support fleet availability.
