Job summary

Randstad Pty in Sydney is seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to support rail maintenance across braking, pneumatic and hydraulic systems and bogies. You will contribute to maintenance, overhauls and modifications with a strong safety focus.

Applicants should hold an Australian Mechanical Fitting Trade Certificate or have 5+ years of verifiable rolling stock experience, with the ability to read blueprints and schematics and work overtime when required.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification as Australian Mechanical Fitting.
• Minimum 5 years verifiable rolling stock experience acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, overhaul and test railway rolling stock brake systems, pneumatic units and hydraulic circuits.
• Inspect and service bogies and associated rail equipment.
• Interpret technical drawings and schematics to execute maintenance tasks.
