Workfast is seeking a qualified Mechanical Fitter to join the workshop team in Chipping Norton, NSW. The role involves overhaul, testing, and certification of air brake components for rail applications, with a focus on quality and safety.

Location is Chipping Norton, NSW, with standard hours and a pathway to permanent employment. Immediate start is available, and the position offers consistent full-time hours in a supportive team environment.

Formación

• Trade-qualified Mechanical Fitter (Cert III or equivalent).
• Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on workshop experience.
• Experience with overhauling or maintaining mechanical components (rail, industrial, automotive).
• Understanding of pneumatic systems is advantageous.
• High attention to detail and safety awareness.
• Physically fit and reliable; forklift licence is preferred but not essential.

Responsabilidades

• Overhaul, test, and certify air brake components used in rail applications.
• Perform detailed mechanical assembly and disassembly work.
• Interpret technical drawings and follow maintenance procedures.
• Conduct safety inspections and complete documentation.
• Assist with general workshop tasks and maintain a clean, safe area.
• Operate hand and power tools as required.
