Job summary

Job Q is seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter for our Chipping Norton rail maintenance depot. You will perform maintenance, overhauls and modifications on rolling stock brake systems, pneumatic units, and bogies, and work with a safety-focused team.

We offer a stable, collaborative environment with development opportunities and overtime penalties for weekend work. Mon-Fri days with Saturday overtime available, located in Chipping Norton with accessible parking and public transport.

Qualifications

• Trade certificate or 5+ years' rolling stock experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and repair skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, overhaul and modify rolling stock brake systems, pneumatic units and hydraulic circuits.
• Inspect and test components to ensure safety and reliability.
• Collaborate with depot teams to ensure on-time maintenance deliveries.
