Southern Shorthaul Railroad is seeking a Mechanical Fitter to join our Nowra Depot maintenance team. The role involves assisting with maintenance tasks, provisioning locomotives and wagons for train operations, and performing fault repairs with a strong safety and customer focus.

Candidates should have prior trade experience, hold a current Driver's Licence, and be prepared to undergo a Rail Medical if required.

Formación

• Prior trade experience required.
• Commitment to safety culture and customer focus.
• Hold a current Drivers Licence.
• Hold a current National Police Check or willingness to obtain one.
• Ability to pass relevant Rail Medical if required.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with maintenance tasks in accordance with SSR Policies and Procedures.
• Maintain and provision locomotives and wagons for train operations.
• Perform fault repairs and failure rectifications.
• Validate the integrity of rolling stock and ensure safe operations.
• Maintain professional conduct with a strong customer and safety focus.
• Rostered shifts including weekends may be required.
