Randstad is seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter for the rail industry in Sydney, NSW. The role focuses on maintenance, overhauls and modifications across brake systems, pneumatic units and bogies on railway rolling stock.

You will perform diagnostic checks and participate in safety-focused depot operations. Ideal candidates hold an Australian Mechanical Fitting Trade Certificate or have 5+ years of verifiable rolling stock maintenance experience, with a strong emphasis on pneumatic, air

Qualifications

• Trade qualification: Recognised Australian Mechanical Fitting Trade Certificate (or minimum 5 years' verifiable experience as a Rolling stock Maintainer).
• Solid background in the maintenance, overhaul, and testing of pneumatic equipment, air brake systems, hydraulic circuits, or rail rolling stock.
• Ability to read, interpret, and work accurately from technical mechanical drawings.

Mechanical Fitter | Rail Maintenance & Rolling stock

Are you an experienced Mechanical Fitter looking for your next challenge in the rail industry? We are currently seeking a skilled, safety-driven Mechanical Fitter to join our team, specializing in maintenance, overhauls, and modifications across railway rolling stock brake systems, hydraulic units, and bogies.

Location: Chipping Norton — easily accessible with ample on-site parking and public transport options nearby.

Hourly Rate: $52 – $55/hr + super (dependent on experience) + overtime penalties.

Shifts Available: Monday to Friday day shifts, with Saturday overtime opportunities available.

What We Are Looking For
