Job summary

Serco is seeking a Radiographer for Acacia Prison in Wooroloo, WA. The role demands registration with the Medical Radiation Practice Board (AHPRA) and a radiography licence. Experience of 2–3 years is desirable, with the ability to operate independently within a complex health team.

You will work within a multidisciplinary group to ensure compliant x-ray services, build patient rapport, and manage wait lists. A Federal Police Check is part of the process.

Qualifications

• Registered with the Medical Radiation Practice Board (AHPRA).
• Radiography licence is required.
• Desirable 2–3 years of radiography experience.
• Understanding of legislation around x-ray services.
• Ability to interact with stakeholders and adapt communication.
• Ability to work as an independent radiographer within a health team.
• Highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour.

Responsibilities

• Operate x-ray equipment in a compliant manner.
• Manage wait lists for patient access to x-ray.
• Maintain ongoing compliance of radiography equipment with legislation.

As a Radiographer at Acacia Prison, you will have a sound understanding of legislative requirements around the provision of x-ray services, and are able to build excellent rapport with patients in a complex environment. You are accustomed to managing wait lists for patient access to x-ray, operating specialised equipment and ensuring the ongoing compliance of this equipment with relevant legislation. You have strong communication skills and are respectful with a commitment and passion for our values and contributing to a safe and respectful environment.

This is a casual role based in Wooroloo, WA.

To Be Successful In This Role You’ll Have

• Currently registered with the Medical Radiation Practice Board AHPRA
• A Radiography radiation licence.
• Minimum 2-3 year experience as a radiographer (desirable)- An understanding of the legislative requirements around the provision of x-ray services.
• Ability to interact with various stakeholders and adapt communication style appropriately.
• Ability to effectively communicate in both written and oral forms.
• Ability to work as an independent radiographer within a complex health team.
• The highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour
