Job summary

IAG Defence & National Security is seeking an experienced Radar Systems Engineer to provide specialist engineering support within a highly regulated Defence environment. The role contributes to systems engineering, certification, integration, configuration management and compliance activities supporting critical capability outcomes.

Applicants should hold a tertiary qualification in Engineering and have demonstrated experience in systems engineering, certification, and engineering assurance,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in systems engineering, certification, configuration management or engineering assurance.
• Strong understanding of the engineering lifecycle and systems integration.

Responsibilities

• Support systems engineering activities including requirements analysis, design, integration, verification and validation.
• Coordinate certification and engineering assurance activities to maintain compliance with relevant standards and regulatory requirements.
• Develop, review and maintain engineering documentation, technical reports, compliance evidence and configuration records.
• Identify and manage engineering risks, providing clear technical advice and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Contribute to system safety, reliability and maintainability activities while supporting technical reviews and governance processes.

The Role

We are seeking an experiencedRadar Systems Engineer to provide specialist engineering support within a highly regulated Defence environment. This role will contribute to systems engineering, certification, integration, configuration management and compliance activities supporting critical capability outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Support systems engineering activities including requirements analysis, design, integration, verification and validation.
• Coordinate certification and engineering assurance activities to maintain compliance with relevant standards and regulatory requirements.
• Develop, review and maintain engineering documentation, technical reports, compliance evidence and configuration records.
• Identify and manage engineering risks, providing clear technical advice and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Contribute to system safety, reliability and maintainability activities while supporting technical reviews and governance processes.

Required Skills & Experience

• Tertiary qualifications in Engineering (Bachelor's degree or equivalent).
• Demonstrated experience in systems engineering, certification, configuration management or engineering assurance activities.
• Strong understanding of the engineering lifecycle and systems integration processes.
• Experience reviewing technical documentation and providing risk-based engineering advice.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and technical communication skills.

Essential Requirements

• Current NV1 Security Clearance.
• Ability to work onsite in NSW.
• Australian Citizenship.
