Job summary

Qualifications

• Higher-level qualification in Mechanical or Electronic Engineering is expected.
• Extensive design experience in a commercial R&D setting is preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
• Strong mechanical or electronics aptitude for multidisciplinary work.

Responsibilities

• Participate in concept generation and brainstorm sessions.
• Create design concepts and capture intellectual property.
• 3D CAD modelling of parts and assemblies for complex systems.
• Detailed design including drawings or PCB design and embedded software.
• Perform analyses to support the design process.
• Design and conduct tests to validate designs.
• Assemble, set to work, and test prototypes.
• Coordinate with manufacturers for production readiness.
• Prepare technical reports for design reviews and feasibility studies.
