Applidyne in Adelaide, South Australia, seeks a Graduate Design Engineer to join our engineering team. You will contribute to detailed engineering design, from concept through to production, under the guidance of senior engineers.

The role offers exposure to automotive mechanisms, industrial equipment and healthcare products, with opportunities to develop practical design skills and problem‑solving abilities in a fast‑paced environment.

Formación

• Higher level tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or a similar discipline, with some work history.
• Aptitude for design and graduating by year end.

Responsabilidades

• Participation in concept generation and assistance in meeting system requirements.
• 3D CAD modelling of parts and assemblies of complex systems.
• Detailed design, including manufacturing drawings.
• Analysis and design activities to support the process.
• Designing and conducting research and testing to support development.
• Setting to work and testing of prototypes.
• Liaison with manufacturers to assist production readiness.
• Preparing technical reports for design reviews, failure investigations and feasibility studies.

Position

Graduate Design Engineer – responsible for detailed engineering design and analysis work in a competitive commercial environment, reporting to the Technical Manager.

Responsibilities

• Participation in concept generation brainstorming sessions and assistance in generating concepts to meet system requirement specifications.
• 3D CAD modelling of parts and assemblies of complex systems.
• Detailed design, including generation of manufacturing drawings.
• Analysis and design activities to support the design process.
• Designing and conducting research and testing to support the design and development process.
• Setting to work and testing of prototypes.
• Liaison with manufacturers to assist in getting designs ready for production.
• Assisting in the preparation of technical reports for consulting projects such as design reviews, failure investigations, stress analysis, concept design and feasibility studies.

Qualifications

Higher level tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or a similar discipline, along with some previous work history. Applicants should have an aptitude for design and be a graduating student or graduate by the end of the year.
