Job summary

Boral Limited in Marulan seeks a Quarry Supervisor to own the safe, efficient, and cost-effective day-to-day running of the quarry and mineral processing plant. You will lead a team of around 45 through four Team Leaders, driving production, safety and cost performance using data-driven decisions.

Work closely with Production, Sales and Maintenance to shape daily, weekly and monthly production plans, in a role offering a clear leadership career path in a values-driven, Zero Harm culture.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years' experience in an operating mining environment.
• Exposure to load and haul, drill and blast, crushing and screening.
• Experience using fleet monitoring or mine production software.
• Some supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or related discipline desirable.
• Willingness to obtain statutory competencies (e.g., quarry supervisor).

Responsibilities

• Optimise load/haul cycle times and crusher/screen performance.

Join Boral, Australia's largest vertically integrated construction materials company, as a Quarry Supervisor at our Marulan operations. You'll take ownership of the safe, efficient and cost-effective day-to-day running of the quarry and its mineral processing plant. Leading a team of around 45 people through four Team Leaders, you'll drive production, safety and cost performance using a data-driven approach. Working closely with the Production Manager, Sales and Maintenance teams, you'll help shape daily, weekly and monthly production plans. What You Will Be Doing

• Leading safety on site through toolbox talks and visible field leadership, mobilising the team on safe work practices
• Optimising load and haul cycle times, and crusher and screen performance, to meet production targets at the best cost structure
• Supervising, engaging and developing an operations team of circa 45 people across the mine and processing plant through four Team Leaders
• Using fleet monitoring software and plant data to inform operational decisions and lift performance
• Setting clear expectations, monitoring team and plant performance, and driving continuous improvement in safety, cost and efficiency
• Coordinating with Sales and Maintenance teams to support the Production Manager in production planning and forecasting

What Are We Looking For

• One to three years' experience in an operating mining environment (open-pit or underground)
• Exposure to load and haul, drill and blast, and crushing and screening operations
• Experience using fleet monitoring or mine production software to optimise load and cycle times
• Some supervisory or team leadership experience
• A Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Mineral Processing or a closely related discipline desirable
• Relevant statutory competencies (e.g. quarry/mine Tier 1 supervisor certification), or a willingness to obtain them
