Job summary

Boral is seeking a Quarry Manager at Cosgrove Quarry to lead day-to-day operations, drive safety, production targets, and manage a diverse team.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will ensure environmental compliance, quality control, and strong stakeholder service while delivering financial outcomes within budgets.

Job description

We are seeking a Quarry Manager at our Cosgrove Quarry to provide leadership and manage the day-to-day operations and challenges of the site.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for leading a diverse team to drive the success of the Quarry. With an uncompromising commitment to safety you will lead the team to achieve performance and profit targets.

Your day will involve:

• Ultimate responsibility for safety performance of the site
• Driving the achievement of production targets
• Providing team leadership
• Managing environmental compliance and quality control
• Providing superior customer service to our internal and external stakeholders as required
• Planning & monitoring extraction, production and inventory

What Are We Looking For?

• Ability to lead, manage and motivate a diverse team of operators
• Relevant experience and a good knowledge within in the quarry, construction or the mining industry
• Experience with crushing & screening process
• Experience with managing budgets, site P&L and understanding finances & costs
• Strong leadership attributes including good people management skills and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage, influence and build rapport with stakeholders from a variety of functions to effectively manage projects
• Experience with community engagement
• High level of resilience and a determination to deliver successful outcomes
