Job summary

Heidelberg Materials Australia is seeking a self-motivated Quarry Operator for our Wollert Quarry, VIC, about 45 minutes north of Melbourne's CBD. This full-time role includes overtime and weekend work as needed, with on-site duties at the Wollert quarry site.

You will operate and maintain vehicles and equipment, including excavators, front-end loaders, and dump trucks. Training and certification may be provided for the right candidate and prior quarrying experience is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Solid interpersonal and communication skills.
• Commitment to risk management and OH&S.
• Positive work ethic aligned with Heidelberg Materials values.
• Excavator/front end loader/dump truck tickets are advantageous.
• Experience in quarrying, mining or similar heavy industry.
• Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out day-to-day operation and maintenance of vehicles, plant and equipment.
• Operate a heavy vehicle (Excavator/Front End Loader/Dump Truck); training may be provided for the right candidate.
• Perform general labour tasks including cleaning, hosing and shovelling.
