Job summary

Laing O’Rourke is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join the ANI-AUKUS team in Osborne, SA. You will manage budgets, forecast costs and report financial performance on a major defence infrastructure program, ensuring value and compliance.

You will build client and supply chain relationships, assess commercial risks and navigate change management to support successful project delivery.

Qualifications

• MRICS attained or being pursued.
• Minimum 4 years post graduate experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry.
• Degree in Construction Management, Building, Engineering or equivalent.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Manage project budgets, cost planning, forecasting, cash flow and financial reporting.
• Identify, assess and mitigate commercial risks and opportunities to optimise project outcomes.
• Oversee change management, claims, extensions of time and commercial entitlements.
• Build and maintain strong client, stakeholder and supply chain relationships to influence delivery.

About you

• Attained or working towards obtaining MRICS.
• Minimum 4years’ post graduate experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry.
• Construction Management, Building, Engineering degree or equivalent.
• Microsoft software especially Excel.
• Applicants must be Australian citizens and hold or be able to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance to NV1 level.
