Job summary

Laing O’Rourke in Australia seeks a Quantity Surveyor to join the ANI/NPSCY program in Osborne, SA. You’ll manage budgets, cost planning, forecasting and financial reporting across a high-profile defence infrastructure project, building robust client and supply chain relationships to drive successful delivery.

Candidates should have MRICS or be working toward it, 4+ years post‑graduate experience in quantity surveying within construction, and a related degree.

• MRICS status or working towards MRICS required.
• Post graduate experience in quantity surveying in construction.

Responsibilities

• Manage project budgets, cost planning, forecasting, cash flow and financial reporting.
• Identify, assess and mitigate commercial risks and opportunities to optimise project outcomes.
• Oversee change management, claims, extensions of time and commercial entitlements.
• Build and maintain strong client, stakeholder and supply chain relationships while influencing successful project delivery.

Laing O’Rourke, with joint venture partner Amentum Australia, will play a central role in supporting Australian Naval Infrastructure (ANI) to develop and deliver the Nuclear‑Powered Submarine Construction Yard (NPSCY) project at Osborne, South Australia. We will provide program and construction management services of nuclear related civil infrastructure, site‑wide nuclear licensee development expertise, and nuclear safety leadership. • Applicants must be Australian citizens and hold or be able to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance to NV1 level.
