Job summary

Laing O’Rourke Australia Construction Pty Limited is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the AUKUS team supporting the Nuclear-Powered Submarine Construction Yard (NPSCY) project at Osborne, South Australia. You will lead budgets, cost control and commercial risk management to deliver complex works.

The role requires MRICS qualification or progression, 7+ years in quantity surveying, and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• MRICS qualification or working towards MRICS.
• 7+ years' post-graduate experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry.
• Degree in Construction Management, Building, Engineering or equivalent.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Manage project budgets, cost planning, forecasting, cash flow and financial reporting.
• Identify, assess and mitigate commercial risks and opportunities to optimise project outcomes.
• Oversee change management, claims, extensions of time and commercial entitlements.
• Build and maintain strong client, stakeholder and supply chain relationships while influencing successful project delivery.

• Attained or working towards obtaining MRICS.
• Minimum 7years’ post graduate experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry.
• Construction Management, Building, Engineering degree or equivalent.
• Microsoft software especially Excel.
• Applicants must be Australian citizens and hold or be able to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance to NV1 level.
