Job summary

Laing O’Rourke invites applications for a Site Engineer to join our AUKUS team in Osborne, South Australia, delivering defence infrastructure projects of national significance. You will manage subcontractor packages, coordinate planning and delivery against milestones, review designs and RFIs, and maintain project records using digital engineering tools.

Australian citizenship with the ability to obtain an Australian Defence NV1 security clearance is required and you will work on a high‑profile

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years' construction/engineering project experience.
  • Experience coordinating subcontractors, planning, and site reports.
  • Degree in Engineering (Civil/Mechanical/Electrical) or Construction Management.
  • Australian citizen with capability to obtain NV1 Defence clearance.

  • Manage subcontractor packages, contractor performance and project interfaces.
  • Coordinate planning, scheduling and delivery against project milestones.
  • Review designs, technical requirements and manage RFIs through to closeout.
  • Maintain project records, engineering systems and digital engineering tools.

About You
  • A minimum of 2 years’ construction/engineering project experience
  • An understanding of design, specifications, managing subcontractors, providing technical direction, issue resolution, providing quality assurance, producing site reports.
  • Degree in Engineering (Civil/Mechanical/Electrical) or Construction Management or equivalent.
  • Applicants must be Australian citizens and hold or be able to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance to NV1 level.
