Job summary

Schramm Powered By Epiroc in Welshpool, Australia, seeks a Quality Technician to ensure product and process quality across operations. The role focuses on early risk identification, corrective actions, and driving continuous improvement, with exposure to supplier QA and change management.

Key duties include inspections, non-conformance management, root cause analysis, and KPI tracking. A strong background in manufacturing quality systems and problem-solving is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a quality role within manufacturing or production
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
• Experience using measuring equipment and inspection tools
• Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies

Responsibilities

• Conduct incoming, in-process, and final inspections to ensure quality standards are met
• Identify, report, and manage non-conformances, including supplier‑related issues
• Support root cause analysis and corrective actions (e.g. 5 Whys, Fishbone)
• Monitor supplier quality performance and coordinate resolutions
• Participate in product, process, and engineering change management
• Track and report quality KPIs and maintain accurate documentation (QMS, SharePoint)
• Perform Gemba walks and engage with production teams to identify risks and improvements
• Ensure calibration and compliance of measuring equipment
• Support commissioning activities and investigate customer warranty issues

We are seeking a Quality Technician to join our team based in Welshpool. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring product, process, and supplier quality by identifying risks early, supporting corrective actions, and driving continuous improvement across operations.

The Role
