Job summary

Epiroc Schramm powered by Epiroc in Welshpool, AU is seeking a Quality Technician to safeguard product, process and supplier quality by identifying risks early, supporting corrective actions and driving continuous improvement across operations.

Key duties include conducting inspections, managing non-conformances, supporting root cause analysis, monitoring supplier quality, change management, KPI tracking and calibration of equipment to ensure quality standards are met.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in a quality role within manufacturing or production.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Experience using measuring equipment and inspection tools.
  • Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct incoming, in-process, and final inspections to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Identify, report, and manage non-conformances, including supplier-related issues.
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective actions (e.g. 5 Whys, Fishbone).
  • Monitor supplier quality performance and coordinate resolutions.
  • Participate in product, process, and engineering change management.
  • Track and report quality KPIs and maintain accurate documentation (QMS, SharePoint).
  • Perform Gemba walks and engage with production teams to identify risks and improvements.
  • Ensure calibration and compliance of measuring equipment.
  • Support commissioning activities and investigate customer warranty issues.
