Job summary

Department of Health Victoria – Melbourne VIC is seeking a Senior Program Officer for the Quality and Safety Projects Unit. You will deliver projects and workstreams that strengthen quality, safety and outcomes across Victoria's alcohol and other drugs (AOD) system, contributing to planning, design, implementation and evaluation of priority reforms.

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in public health or related field.
• Knowledge of the Victorian AOD system and department processes is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop policy options, briefs and advice on complex issues.
• Undertake research and analysis to inform policy and sector standards.
• Organise work and resources to deliver outputs on time.
• Build stakeholder relationships and coordinate cooperation for delivery.
• Prepare cabinet material, briefings and meeting papers.
• Support translation of policy into practical implementation.
