Job summary

Department of Health in Victoria seeks a Senior Program Officer, AOD Policy, Reform & Programs to lead complex program delivery and policy development across harm reduction and treatment services. You will coordinate performance, advise on funding and contracts, and work with government stakeholders to drive reforms that improve access and outcomes for Victorians.

Qualifications

• Contributes to the development, implementation and evaluation of harm reduction policy and programs.
• Supports delivery of priority initiatives through research, analysis and project coordination.
• Builds and maintains effective working relationships with stakeholders and partners.
• Prepares briefs, reports, correspondence and presentations for senior executives.
• Manages discrete work packages within broader projects.

Responsibilities

• Undertakes data analysis, literature reviews and environmental scans to inform policy development.
• Leads delivery of complex program, commissioning and performance activities for AOD treatment.
• Provides expert advice on program implementation, funding and contractual matters.
• Contributes to design and implementation of reforms to improve accessibility and outcomes.
• Maintains strong partnerships with funded organisations and government stakeholders.
