Job summary

Add Staff is seeking a Quality Manager to lead the National QMS across LV & HV switchboard manufacturing with sites in Melbourne, Brisbane or Sydney. You will own the QMS, drive improvements and align engineering, manufacturing and projects to meet quality standards.

The role requires 5+ years in quality management, strong switchboard manufacturing experience, and deep knowledge of ISO 9001 and audits. Strong CAPA, RCA and stakeholder-management skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in Quality Management.
• Strong switchboard experience, gained through manufacturing, building or pre-commissioning.
• Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems and ISO 9001.
• Experience leading internal and external audits.
• Strong understanding of non-conformances, CAPA and root cause analysis.
• Excellent problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
• Relevant Engineering, Quality, Operations, trade or related qualification.

Our client is a well-established National electrical engineering and manufacturing group, with more than 40 years of successful operation across the Industrial, Infrastructure and Construction sectors. Operating across three manufacturing facilities nationally, the business designs and manufactures LV and HV power distribution solutions, supporting major projects across data centres, utilities, infrastructure, government, heavy industry and construction.

The Role
Reporting to the National Engineering Manager, you will take ownership of the organisation's Quality Management System, working closely with engineering, manufacturing and project teams to drive consistent quality outcomes across operations.

Key responsibilities include:

• Manage and continually improve the company's QMS
• Lead internal and external quality audits
• Ensure compliance with relevant standards, customer and regulatory requirements
• Manage non-conformances, CAPA and root cause investigations
• Drive continuous improvement across engineering and manufacturing processes

• Identify quality risks and implement appropriate controls
• Provide quality reporting and recommendations to senior leadership

About You
This role requires someone with strong quality management experience combined with practical switchboard industry knowledge.
To be considered, you will ideally have:

• Strong switchboard experience, gained through manufacturing, building or pre-commissioning
• Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems and ISO 9001
• Experience leading internal and external audits
• Strong understanding of non-conformances, CAPA and root cause analysis

• Relevant Engineering, Quality, Operations, trade or related qualification

Experience within sheet metal or structural manufacturing will be highly regarded, along with Lead Auditor or Lean Six Sigma qualifications.
