Job summary

Century Yuasa Batteries is seeking an experienced quality engineer to drive quality outcomes in a mass production setting. You will ensure processes meet quality objectives and lead continuous improvement initiatives.

Your role includes coordinating the inspection team, implementing QMS procedures, and analyzing KPIs to initiate timely improvements, with hands-on auditing and inspection exposure in a reputable manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering.
• Proven quality engineering experience in mass production.
• Auditing experience under ISO9001 or equivalent.
• Knowledge of PPAP, SPC and reading technical drawings.
• Experience with lean manufacturing, Kaizen and 5S.
• Advanced metrology skills and EH&S aware.

The Role

We require an experienced quality engineer that has demonstrated experience delivering quality-focused outcomes in a mass production manufacturing environment. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring our production processes comply with the company’s quality objectives and to implement continuous improvement. Key responsibilities will be:

Coordinate activities of inspection team and implement quality functions in day-to-day operations

Implement and maintain quality processes and procedures, in accordance with our Quality Management System

Analyse quality KPIs and initiate improvement programs with timely reporting to management

This position will give the successful candidate great hands on experience with auditing and inspection.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree qualification in Industrial / Mechanical Engineering

Quality Engineering experience in manufacturing environment

Proven experience in an auditing role under ISO9001 or equivalent

Sound knowledge of PPAP, SPC and technical drawing reading

Experience with lean manufacturing techniques, Kaizen and 5S

Advanced Metrology skills

Certificate or Diploma in Auditing for ISO9001 system or equivalent

Demonstrated experience to work independently within stringent EH&S measures

Good attention to detail, communication and computer skills
