Job summary

Downer is seeking a Quality Auditor to ensure quality, safety and compliance across housing service delivery. You will report to the Assurance and Service Delivery Partner Manager and contribute to high-quality outcomes for essential services.

In this role you will conduct inspections, raise improvement actions and deliver monthly reports, while guiding subcontractors on contract requirements and safety standards. A proactive communicator with governance awareness will thrive here.

Qualifications

• Experience in auditing, compliance and the housing market.
• Background in trade, construction, maintenance, facilities or building-services.
• Experience assessing workmanship, site safety and contractor compliance.
• Strong communication and formal report-writing skills.
• Understanding governance and key performance indicators (KPIs).

Responsibilities

• Perform planned pre-inspections, in-progress inspections and post-inspections, including subcontractor claim verification.
• Raise Business Improvement Forms for non-conformances and manage corrective actions.
• Investigate safety, Code of Conduct and environmental incidents; document corrective actions.
• Prepare monthly inspection and auditing reports with commentary and trends analysis.
• Provide quality and OHS advice, review SWMS and support training on contract requirements.
