Job summary

Moama Bowling Club, located in Moama along the Murray River, seeks an experienced and enthusiastic qualified chef for a permanent, full‑time role. You will perform all food preparation across kitchen sections, including grills, pans, and fryers, and craft pizzas in our wood-fired oven.

The ideal candidate holds a Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery and has proven experience in large, high-volume kitchens; 5‑star hotel experience is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery is required.
• Proven experience in a large high-volume commercial kitchen.
• Experience in a 5 star hotel is strongly preferred.
• Experience in food preparation and A La Carte service.

Responsibilities

• Perform all food preparation and cooking duties.
• Work across all kitchen sections including grills, pans, and fryers.
• Ensure consistency and portion control.
• Work in a fast-paced environment.
• Prepare and cook pizzas using traditional Italian techniques and a wood-fired oven.
• Maintain high standards of kitchen hygiene to exceed food safety standards.
• General kitchen cleaning duties as required.

A stunning multi-purpose dining, conference, entertainment, and sporting venue, we are acknowledged along the Murray River as a leader in our industry. We are now recruiting for an experienced and enthusiastic qualified chef to join our team. Responsibilities include:

• Performing all food preparation and cooking duties
• Working across all sections of the kitchen including grills, pans, and fryers
• Ensuring consistency and portion control is adhered to
• Working in a fast-paced environment
• Prepare and cook a variety of pizzas using traditional Italian techniques and authentic wood fired pizza oven
• Maintain high standard of kitchen hygiene to exceed food safety standards
• General kitchen cleaning duties as required

Essential skills required:

• Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (and/or higher)
• Proven experience in a large high-volume commercial kitchen
• Experience in a 5 star hotel is strongly preferred
• Experience in food preparation and A La Carte service
