Bakers Delight in Australia is seeking a Qualified Baker to join a well-known, family-oriented bakery. You will bake, decorate and present high-quality products, while coaching Apprentices and maintaining safe, clean premises.

Ideal candidates have knowledge of deck ovens, sourdoughs, weighing ingredients, and a strong work ethic. Team collaboration, humor, and a willingness to learn fast are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• 1.5 years' industry experience in bakery or similar role.
• Strong leadership and teamwork abilities.
• Willingness to learn quickly and adapt in a fast-paced bakery.
• Sound knowledge of weighing ingredients and dough formulation.
• Understanding of a variety of flours and seeds.

Responsabilités

• Bake and present quality products to meet customer needs.
• Coach and support Apprentices' development.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of the bakery and equipment.
• Assist with stock control and production expenses.
• Provide excellent customer service when required.
• Prepare and produce bakery items following BDH recipes.
• Weigh ingredients to prepare dough.
• Operate bakery machines and tools to produce items.
• Decorate baked goods with glazes and toppings.

As a Qualified Baker at Bakers Delight, you will be responsible for

Baking and presenting quality product to meet changing customer needs.

Coaching and supporting the development of Apprentices.

Maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the bakery.

Assisting with stock control and production expenses.

Providing delightful customer service when required.

Preparation and production of quality bakery products to Bakers Delight as per BDH recipe.

Weighing flour and other ingredients to prepare dough.

Operating machines and tools to prepare bakery products.

Decorating baked goods with glazes, icings, and edible toppings.

Maintaining a cleanliness of machines, tools and premises and abide by company policies and procedures in relation to WHS (Workplace Health and Safety) and Food Safety to ensure a safe working environment for customers, staff and contractors.

To be considered for this role you must be able to demonstrate the following

Strong knowledge of deck ovens & baking.

Experience with sourdoughs, hand molding, shaping, cutting breads

Mixing experience and understanding the process of sourdough and yeast doughs.

Sound knowledge in weighing ingredients for different type of bread and pastry.

Knowledge in a wide variety of different type of flours and seeds.

At least 1.5 years' experience in the industry.

Ability to work in a well-established team with efficiency and consistency.

Strong leadership skills.

Strong work ethic.

Sense of humor.

A willingness to learn and learn FAST.
