Job summary

Bakers Delight Waurn Ponds and Armstrong Creek are seeking a motivated Baker to join the team. No previous baking experience is required as you will receive hands-on training and apprenticeship modules to learn traditional and specialty breads and pastries.

You will work alongside experienced bakers, follow established recipes, and maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety while helping meet production targets and daily customer demand.

• No prior baking experience required; full training provided.
• Willingness to learn and work early mornings and weekends.
• Strong team player with good attitude.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation, production and baking of high-quality bread and bakery products.
• Learn and follow Bakers Delight recipes, production schedules and procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe and hygienic work environment.
• Follow food safety standards and occupational health and safety procedures.
• Work efficiently to meet production targets and customer demand.
• Participate in stock control, storage and waste minimisation processes.
• Develop technical baking skills and product knowledge under supervision.
• Undertake training modules and attend required off-site training as part of the apprenticeship.

About the Role:

As a Baker, you will work alongside experienced bakers to learn all aspects of the baking trade. You'll gain hands-on experience producing a wide range of traditional and specialty breads, pastries, and other bakery items while completing your formal training requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the preparation, production, and baking of high-quality bread and bakery products

Learn and follow all Bakers Delight recipes, production schedules, and procedures

Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic work environment

Follow food safety standards and occupational health and safety procedures

Work efficiently to meet production targets and customer demand

Participate in stock control, storage, and waste minimisation processes

Develop technical baking skills and product knowledge under the supervision of qualified bakers

Undertake training modules and attend required off-site training as part of the apprenticeship
