Job summary

Ross Laboratories seeks a qualified QC Chemist for its busy Melbourne lab. You will perform day-to-day testing of packaging items, raw materials, manufactured bulk, in-process checks, finished products and stability samples in a GMP/GLP environment.

Responsibilities

• Test of packaging items.
• Testing of raw materials to pharmacopeia standards.
• Test manufactured bulk and in-process samples in line with production schedule.
• Update specifications and test records as required.
• Participate in stability testing as required.
• Support laboratory-based projects and analyses.
• Maintain laboratory housekeeping and safety.
• Investigate out-of-spec results, deviations and non-conformances.

Ross supplies products for the Australian and international markets.

Ross is seeking a qualified and experienced QC Chemist to join their team in a permanent full-time position. Located in the Northern suburbs of Melbourne.

The Role

A great opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic QC Chemist to join our fast paced and busy QC lab team. The QC Chemist will be responsible for the day to day testing of packaging materials, raw materials, manufactured bulk, in process checks, finished products and stability samples. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate experience working in a GMP environment, to a high level of excellence and the ability to be agile, fast and accurate in a busy environment.

Reporting to the Quality Manager, the key duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Test of packaging items
• Testing of raw materials to pharmacopeia standards
• Working in line with production schedule to test manufactured bulk and in process check samples
• Updating specifications and test records as required
• Participating in additional product testing, such as stability samples as required
• Supporting laboratory based projects
• Maintaining laboratory housekeeping
• Participating in laboratory investigations for out of specification results, deviations and non conformances
• Support analyst training as required
• Maintain laboratory quality standards by ensuring high standard of work conducted at all times
• Adherence to GMP and GLP principles
• Adherence to all safety precautions

• Previous laboratory experience within the pharmaceutical / personal care manufacturing or related environment is highly desirable
