Job summary

Ross Laboratories seeks a qualified QC Chemist for its busy Melbourne lab. You will perform day-to-day testing of packaging items, raw materials, manufactured bulk, in-process checks, finished products and stability samples in a GMP/GLP environment.

Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will update specifications, records and participate in investigations. Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry with hands-on lab experience in pharmaceutical or personal care manufacturing and

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science majoring in Chemistry.
• Experience in pharmaceutical/personal care lab environment is desirable.
• Excellent problem solving and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated laboratory and quality control testing skills.
• Proven experience working within a GMP/GLP quality environment.
• Positive, proactive and professional attitude.
• Great interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Test of packaging items.
• Testing of raw materials to pharmacopeia standards.
• Test manufactured bulk and in-process samples in line with production schedule.
• Update specifications and test records as required.
• Participate in stability testing as required.
• Support laboratory-based projects and analyses.
• Maintain laboratory housekeeping and safety.
• Investigate out-of-spec results, deviations and non-conformances.
