Job summary

Evolve Scientific in Melbourne's eastern suburbs is seeking a QC Analyst on a 6-month fixed-term contract with potential extension. The role involves routine testing of bulk products, stability samples, and raw materials, ensuring GMP/GLP compliance and accurate data management.

Candidate will perform sampling, material approvals per SOP, equipment calibration, and general housekeeping, with an afternoon shift from 2pm to 10pm. A science degree and lab experience are required to succeed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Chemistry or Pharmaceutical Science required.
• Laboratory experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing preferred.
• Experience with chemistry analytical techniques and GMP/GLP understanding.
• Good communication and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine physical, chemical, and instrumental testing on bulk products, stability samples, raw materials and finished goods.
• Sample, inspect, and approve materials per SOP.
• Maintain and calibrate equipment; manage data in the data management system.
• Ensure GMP/GLP compliance and organise samples for external testing.
• General housekeeping.

About the company/role:

• Pharmaceutical company
• Based in the Eastern suburbs of Melbourne
• Seeking a QC Analyst to join the team
• 6-month fixed term contract, with potential to extend
• Afternoon shift (2pm-10pm)

Duties, but not limited to:

• Conduct routine physical, chemical and instrumental testing on bulk products, stability samples, raw materials and finished goods
• Conduct sampling, inspection and approval of materials as per SOP
• Equipment maintenance and calibration
• Manage test results using the data management system
• Ensure compliance with GMP& GLP standards
• Organise samples for external testing and interpret results
• General housekeeping

Skills/experience:

• Bachelor of Science majoring in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Science or related discipline
• Must have prior laboratory experience ideally within pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. Open to other industries such as food and environmental.
• Proven experience using chemistry analytical techniques
• Good understanding of GMP & GLP
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Good time management skills
• Must have a car (due to afternoon shift)
