Job summary

Evolve Scientific in Melbourne's southeast suburbs is seeking a permanent, full-time Laboratory Technician to support routine analytical work in a GMP-regulated environment.

You will sample raw materials, perform routine analyses with basic wet chemistry and small instrumentation, and assist with packaging material testing. A BSc in Chemistry or related field is required and HPLC experience is highly regarded.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceuticals or related field.
• Strong understanding of wet chemistry and analytical techniques.
• Experience with HPLC in GMP labs is preferred.
• Good time management and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Sample raw materials as required.
• Perform routine analysis of raw materials using basic wet chemistry and small instruments.
• Test and release packaging materials and artwork.
• Liaise with Warehouse regarding raw material deliveries.
• Analyze intermediates and finished products after training.

Job description

• Major pharmaceutical company who manufacture personal care products
• Based in the Southeast suburbs of Melbourne
• Monday - Friday, 7am - 3:30pm
• Permanent, full-time opportunity

Duties:

• Sampling of raw materials when required
• Routine analysis of raw materials using basic wet chemistry techniques and small instrumentation
• Test and release packaging materials and artwork
• Liaising with Warehouse personnel in regards to raw material deliveries
• Analysis of intermediates and finished products when fully trained

Skills & experience:

• Bachelor of Science majoring in Chemistry, Pharmaceuticals or related discipline
• Demonstrated understanding of chemistry techniques, including wet chemistry and analytical techniques
• Experience using HPLC in a GMP regulated laboratory highly regarded
• Good with time management and organisation
