ALOIS Australia is seeking a Python developer to join our Sydney-based team. You will work on scalable production systems, leveraging AWS and DevOps practices. Collaboration with trading SMEs will be essential to deliver data-driven solutions and robust APIs.

We value experience in cloud-native architectures, data pipelines, and secure software delivery. You’ll contribute to end-to-end development, testing, and production support in a dynamic fintech-adjacent environment.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering fundamentals and design patterns.
• Proven Python development experience in production systems.
• Experience designing cloud-native or distributed systems.
• Experience building or integrating APIs and data pipelines.
• Strong DevOps understanding with CI/CD tooling (GitHub Actions).
• Experience with AWS and cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Develop Python applications and services with scalable, maintainable code.
• Design and deliver cloud-native or distributed systems and contribute to technical decisions.
• Build or integrate APIs, data pipelines, and workflow automation.
• Collaborate with Business teams (Trading SMEs) to align solutions with requirements.
• Implement DevOps practices and monitoring/observability for production systems.
