Job summary

Mode Talent Pty Ltd is seeking a DevOps Production Engineer for our world-leading trading client in Sydney. The role centers on ultra-low-latency infrastructure, owning production systems, and collaborating with traders and engineers to ensure reliability.

The position requires strong Python and Linux skills, plus networking know-how and the ability to manage on-call rotations in a fast-paced environment. A base salary is offered with discretionary bonus potential and an emphasis on on-site work

Qualifications

• 5+ years in DevOps, SRE, or Linux/Network Engineering roles.
• 3+ years of Python and shell scripting experience.
• Strong Linux internals knowledge: kernel, scheduling, performance tuning.
• Solid networking fundamentals: routing, multicast, LLDP, VLAN, Ethernet.
• Detail-oriented with bias for action and on-call readiness.
• Bonus: experience in trading or finance environments; familiarity with C++.

What You’ll Do:
