Job summary

Eclipse Trading is seeking a skilled Python Developer to join its Rapid Application Development (RAD) Team in Sydney. The role involves working closely with traders and quantitative analysts to enhance Python-based frameworks used for pricing and trading across multiple business lines.

The successful candidate will have 2+ years of Python development experience, production-grade coding skills, and a strong emphasis on testing and code quality.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Python for production-grade applications.
• Experience with asynchronous programming (asyncio or equivalent).
• Background in trading systems or front-office/quant development is a strong plus.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication.

Responsibilities

• Enhance and expand Python-based application development framework.
• Collaborate with traders and quantitative analysts to build trading apps.
• Lead projects end-to-end from analysis to delivery.
• Provide end-user training and promote best practices in software development.
• Provide Tier 3 production support as needed.
